What I am offering is a cultural immersion through painting; any level, any medium, I can take an individual or small group for one day, or a few weeks.

 

My studio is located in the centre of Arles, a town made famous by Van Gogh who created over two hundred paintings there in just over one year. The light and beauty of this region has attracted painters for centuries.

 

Based on your interests, I can customise a course for you. Spouses or partners are welcome to come too, there is so much for them to see and explore while you are painting. We will be working outside en plein air and also in the studio. If you are staying in the region, I can also come to you or meet you on location. While painting we will explore beautiful landscapes, hill top towns and  some of the best local restaurants.

If you prefer to shop or go sight-seeing with someone who knows the area and is bilingual, I would be delighted to take you around.

 

According to your budget, different choices of accommodation are available; airbnb to comfortable hotels and options in between.

 

You may want to drive yourself and in which case I would be happy to help you with car rental information. 

 

You are welcome to bring your own supplies but these days travelling with art materials is difficult due to the weight restriction on airlines. I am happy to furnish all materials and if necessary organise the shipment of artwork to your home after the course.
